The Office of the Provost's Diversity Transformation Award recipient, Purdue Black Cultural Center, has partnered with the Office of Admissions to create The Purdue Express. They have used their grant funding to create a traveling performing arts ensemble that tells audiences all they would ever need to know about Purdue University as a prospective student, especially one from a diverse or minority background. The production combines popular music with current dances and Purdue history as well as resource information. These 35 minute performances occurred throughout the Greater Lafayette area during events for prospective undergraduate and graduate students during the Fall 2016 semester.

This was the first inception of The Purdue Express which is to be an annually renewed project to recruit diverse individuals to join the student body. As well as assisting in retaining current students through scholarship awards, developing skills in the arts is a primary focus. The production began with four days of intensive rehearsal followed by an unveiling performance just before the Fall 2016 semester began. In addition to stage managing the show, I was also in charge of sound, including the creation of a QLab workspace, sound operation during the show, and working with professional sound technicians from Hall of Music Productions during performances.
